Living in Istanbul, Cemre is a multidisciplinary creative.

She connects and combines different creative fields she is active in through her work and on going practices. Her pottery reflects her genuine respect for traditional approach to pottery that flourished throughout the geography she was born to. Taking cues from Greek, Persian, Byzantine and Ottoman culture of form she creates pieces that are refined and modern yet playful.

Each piece she makes is hand thrown and decorated by hand, this allows mistakes which can later turn into lucky coincidences that create exceptionally unique pieces. Although her forms are very closely connected to traditional shapes they all have this refreshing feeling of liveliness.
